"We stayed in a cabin at Brookside Motel and had a wonderful 3 days! The cabin is cozy with a double bed, fridge and cable tv. The bathroom was renovated and the water gets hot if you let it run a bit. There is a porch in front with 2 chairs and a table to relax and listen to the sounds of the brook out front. There's a pool, community kitchen, picnic tables, swings and a fire pit that we used to roast marshmallows at night. Brookside is a short drive or walk to Lake George Village where there are tons of activities for couples or families. The owner is super friendly and provides coffee, tea or cocoa in the morning for guests. A great way to enjoy the beauty of Lake George at a good price. We will be back!"
"We were supposed to camp on our long weekend visit. But with the extreme heat wave, we decided just days before our trip that we’d better sleep in AC! The Brookside Motel was the most friendliest place I think we have ever stayed. A short distance from Lake George village. The owner is down to earth and appreciates all his guests and treats you like his family! There’s a pool, it didn’t seem heated, but that was perfect given the 100 degree weather! There’s a communal kitchen with all the things needed to cook your meal, 2 GAS grills, a picnic area, and playground. The area is quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a good family spot! Given our short notice and the very reasonable price, we didn’t know what to expect... we were pleasantly surprised! We’d definitely stay there again!"
