Your hosts at Brookside Motel...and Cabins are Gisella and Billy Dentato. Gisella has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and for much of that time, has owned and operated Brookside Motel...and Cabins. A high percentage of our guests return annually for both a taste of the North Country and a dose of the warm, friendly and engaging personality that is Gisella. Gisella manages and oversees the grounds and buildings, the facilities and supplies, all housekeeping and maintenance personnel and all outside contractors providing services for Brookside Motel...and Cabins.

 

Billy is retired from several careers, including sole practitioner attorney, corporate real estate executive, restaurateur, radio personality and thoroughbred racing stable owner. Billy manages the front office and reservations desk at Brookside Motel...and Cabins.

 

Gisella and Billy were married on November 13, 2010, a beautiful sunny day, at Waterfront Park under the famous Pineapple Fountain in Charleston, South Carolina. The couple lives year-round on-premises at Brookside Motel...and Cabins.

 

The Mascots (and Guest Greeting Committee) at family-friendly Brookside Motel...and Cabins are Molly, a very large and goofy Goldendoodle (a hypoallergenic cross between a Standard Poodle and a Golden Retriever); Chloe, a tiny Shih Tzu with a penchant for chasing blown leaves and swallowing treats without chewing; and Noel, a beautiful, young black and white kitty who "arrived" on Christmas Day, 2009, and decided quickly that Billy's feet were decidedly warmer and more comfortable to sleep on than the lawn outside Guest Cabin #20.

 

Oh, and you might see one of Gisella's teenage children, Nicholas and Carissa, passing through our property from time to time, texting, listening to their iPods and negotiating their very busy social lives.
